Job summary

Dovecote Park Ltd in Stapleton, near Pontefract, is seeking dedicated food-service staff for weekend shifts. The role involves front counter service, food prep, and maintaining high hygiene standards in a busy family-run Yorkshire operation.

You will work Saturdays and Sundays, 7am to 2pm, with benefits such as free onsite parking, an onsite gym, a subsidised canteen, staff shop, cycle to work, and the Dovecote Rewards scheme.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the food sector.
• Experience of assisting preparation of both hot and cold meals.
• Understanding of food hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are strictly adhered to.
• Serve customers hot and cold food on the front counter in a polite and courteous manner.
• Take payment from customers and use the till.
• Ensure the vending machines are replenished and well stocked.
• Keep the restaurant area and tables clean and tidy.
• Assist with the preparation of fresh sandwiches and vegetables/meals.
• Assist with general food prep and washing/clearing crockery and cutlery.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times.

About you:

Role:

• Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are strictly adhered to
• Serving customers Hot and Cold Food on the front counter in a polite and courteous manner
• Taking payment from customers and using the till
• Ensuring the Vending Machines are replenished and well stocked
• Ensuring that tables and the restaurant area are kept clean and tidy
• Assist with the preparation of fresh sandwiches
• Assist with the preparation of vegetables and meals
• Assisting the kitchen with any general food prep
• Ensuring all crockery and cutlery is washed and ready for customers to use
• Assisting with the washing and cleaning of all restaurant equipment
• Work in a way which minimizes or eliminates food safety risks such as cross contamination
• Put and store waste in designated places
• Ensure finished product is separated from raw materials to prevent cross contamination or any other hazards to food safety
• Ensure that the hygiene standards are maintained at all times for the equipment and staff and ancillary areas, and that all storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
