Job summary

Phoenix Resourcing Services is seeking a hardworking Kitchen Porter or General Assistant for flexible part-time shifts in London. The role involves helping kitchen teams with preparation, washing pots and equipment, keeping areas clean, assisting with service, receiving deliveries, and following food safety procedures. Immediate start available.

A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate is essential. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 10:30am to 2:30pm, with pay at £12.71 per hour.

Are you a hardworking Kitchen Porter or General Assistant with a valid Enhanced DBS certificate looking for flexible temporary work across London? We are currently looking for someone on an ongoing basis Monday to Friday, 10:30am to 2:30pm for an immediate start.

The Role

• Assisting kitchen teams with food preparation tasks.
• Washing pots, pans, crockery, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout kitchen and service areas.
• Assisting with food service and counter service when required.
• Receiving and storing deliveries.
• Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Supporting catering teams during busy service periods.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, General Assistant, or within a hospitality environment.
• A valid, in-date Enhanced DBS Certificate (essential).
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Reliability, punctuality, and good communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
