Job summary

London Education Catering Providers is seeking a Temporary Kitchen Assistant for ongoing, part-time hours from Monday to Friday, 10:30am to 2:30pm, with immediate start. You will support school, care home, and healthcare catering teams with food prep, service, and hygiene compliance.

Essential DBS check required. You should bring a positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork to effectively assist in busy service periods across London settings.

Qualifications

• A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate is essential.
• Experience as Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant or General Assistant is beneficial.
• Understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen teams with food preparation tasks.
• Washing pots, pans, crockery and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and service areas.
• Assist with food service and counter service when required.
• Receive and store deliveries.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Support catering teams during busy service periods.
