Job summary

Bupa at Wilmington Manor Care Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the team in delivering tasty, well-presented meals to residents.

The role is permanent full-time (40 hours per week, including some weekends) with competitive pay (£13.10–£14.10 per hour) and a focus on hygiene and resident satisfaction. Prior kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen and delivering good dining experiences.
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Willingness to work as part of a team to support residents' meals.

Responsibilities

• Link between the main kitchen and residents to ensure smooth service.
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prepare trolleys and keep prep areas clean.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for events and special occasions.
