Glenholme Senior Living is seeking a Bank Kitchen Assistant at Wendreth Court, March (PE15 8QT) to join a supportive kitchen team, working alongside the Head Chef to deliver fresh meals for residents, staff and visitors.

The role is flexible and ideal for someone who enjoys working in a care environment, with Enhanced DBS checks and opportunities to develop in a friendly, values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of COSHH, HACCP, Environmental Health Standards and Regulations; Safer Food Better Business.
• Excellent timekeeping.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head Chef with food preparation and service.
• Assisting with the preparation of healthy, balanced, and nutritious meals using a home-cooked approach.
• Ensuring food is prepared, cooked, and stored in a hygienic environment at all times.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Supporting systems to control food portions and minimise waste.
• Ensuring all kitchen practices adhere to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Maintaining a strong working knowledge of food safety, COSHH, HACCP, and allergen management.
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas to a high standard.
• Supporting a positive dining experience that reflects Glenholme Senior Living's values and standards of care.

Pay Rate: £13 per hour*

Contract Type: Bank – flexible hours, as and when required

As a Bank Kitchen Assistant, you will work alongside the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to support the preparation and delivery of fresh, wholesome meals for residents, staff, and visitors.
