Job summary

Jewish Care is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant for Anita Dorfman House on the Sandringham Campus in Stanmore. The role covers 37.5 hours per week across five days on a rota, including some weekends. Typical shifts are 7am-3pm or 11am-7pm, with responsibilities in basic food prep, food service and dining area preparation.

Experience in a busy kitchen is desirable. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to obtain it is required.

• Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training

Responsibilities

• Prepare vegetables, salads and sandwiches for service.
• Prepare dining areas and arrange food counters for service.
• Serve hot and cold food and beverages to residents and visitors.
• Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen, dining and work areas.
• Operate the till and assist with cashing up when required.
