The Kitchen Assistant will play an important role within Jewish Cares Catering & Hospitality team at Anita Dorfman House on the Sandringham Campus in Stanmore, helping to provide a welcoming, professional and high-quality hospitality service for residents, community members, visitors and colleagues. This permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week, working five days out of seven on a rota basis, including some weekends. Typical shifts are 7am3pm or 11am7pm. Duties include basic food preparation such as vegetables, salads and sandwiches, preparing and arranging food counters and dining areas, serving hot and cold food and beverages, maintaining clean and hygienic environments, and operating the till and cashing up when required. Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment is desirable, alongside a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to undertake the qualification., We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering & Hospitality team at Anita Dorfman House on our Sandringham Campus in Stanmore. You will also operate the till and support cashing up when required. Previous kitchen experience is desirable, but we are also looking for someone with a positive attitude, good communication skills and a willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
