Job summary

Hartford Care’s Island Court Care Home in Coseley is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help provide nutritious meals in a hygienic setting. You will work as part of a team to support residents and maintain a warm, caring dining environment.

This full-time role covers 35 hours per week, including alternate weekend shifts. No prior experience required; you will be guided by the team and trained in food hygiene and resident-friendly meal preparation.

The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be assisting in the provision of nutritious meals under hygienic conditions while being aware of and act in accordance with current food laws and regulations, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are preparing vegetables for a curry night, delivering a resident’s breakfast to their room, washing up after the lunch period, or assisting residents with a baking morning you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
