Job summary

Hartford Care is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Island Court Care Home, Bilston, to help provide nutritious meals in a safe, hygienic kitchen. Your role includes assisting with meal prep, serving residents in their rooms when needed, and supporting baking activities in a friendly, team-based setting.

You will work 35 hours per week on-site, including alternate weekend work, contributing to a warm, welcoming dining experience aligned with Hartford Care's values of care and community.

• As a Kitchen Assistant you will assist in the provision of nutritious meals under hygienic conditions, while following current food laws and regulations.
• You will work as part of a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere, preparing vegetables, serving meals, washing up, and supporting residents with baking activities.

The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be assisting in the provision of nutritious meals under hygienic conditions while being aware of and act in accordance with current food laws and regulations, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are preparing vegetables for a curry night, delivering a resident’s breakfast to their room, washing up after the lunch period, or assisting residents with a baking morning you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
