Job summary

Agincare is seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen Assistant for a part-time role at Laurel Dene Care Home in Hampton, London. You will support the chef with healthy meals, handle dietary needs, and help maintain cleanliness in line with COSHH and safety standards.

The role is 15 hours per week, primarily Saturdays and Sundays, with opportunities for training and progression within a growing health and social care group. Agincare offers a pension, on-demand pay, and a friendly team environment.

• Offer support, communication and engagement to residents.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential.
• This is a part time position, working 15 hours per week - this will be working every Saturday and Sunday

A day in the life of a Kitchen Assistant

• Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, and ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols.
• Work as a team player, but have the ability to lone work when needed, effectively managing your time.
• Offer support, communication and engagement to the residents.

About You

You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We'd like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to show empathy to the needs of others.
