A day in the life of a Kitchen Assistant

• Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols
• Work as a team player, but have the ability to lone work when needed, effectively managing your time
• Offer support, communication and engagement to the residents

About You

You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We'd like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self‑motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to show empathy to the needs of others.
