Job summary

Join the Agincare family as a Kitchen Assistant at our Rochester Care Home. You'll prepare nutritious meals that our residents love, making mealtimes something to look forward to.

This role offers an hourly rate of £12.72, alongside a career development path and the possibility of on-demand pay. You'll work 36 hours a week, with set shifts across two weeks, while maintaining high hygiene standards and engaging with residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential and must be able to bake cakes.
• Minimum 12 months’ right to work in the UK.
• Able to follow food safety, COSHH, and health & safety guidelines.

• Working 36 hours per week on a two week rolling rota:
• Week One - Monday 9am to 4.30pm, Tuesday 10am to 6.30pm, Wednesday 10am to 6.30pm, Thursday 10am to 6.30pm and Friday 10am to 6.30pm
• Week Two - Monday 9.30am to 5pm, Wednesday 10.30am to 6.30pm, Thursday 10.30am to 6.30pm, Saturday 10am to 6.30pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm

Your role:

• Support the chef to prepare balanced, nutritious meals and snacks
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Follow food safety, COSHH, and health & safety guidelines
• Work both independently and as part of the team
• Engage with residents, bringing warmth and friendliness to the dining experience
