Job summary

St Austell Brewery's Pier House in Charlestown is seeking a friendly kitchen assistant to join a busy team. You’ll help with food preparation, run the dishwasher and ensure the kitchen stays clean, tidy and safe, even during peak service.

This role is ideal for someone looking to start in a commercial kitchen, with in-house training and flexible working patterns. In return, you’ll be part of a welcoming crew in a picturesque location, with opportunities to progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn and be part of a team.
• Good hygiene and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation as needed.
• Operate the dishwasher and maintain cleanliness.

The Pier House overlooks Charlestown’s historic Georgian harbour, complete with iconic Tall Ships. The sea-facing restaurant, bar, and hotel-style rooms provide a warm welcome with the crackle of a log fire during cold months and plenty of cosy nooks to sink into. You’ll be working in a picture-postcard location that’s graced the big screen across the world, with its iconic Tall Ships serving as a backdrop to blockbuster movies and TV shows alike.
