Job summary

Hartford Care in Sidmouth invites applications for a Care Home Kitchen Assistant. You will help provide nutritious meals in a hygienic kitchen, working as part of a caring team to create a warm dining experience for residents.

This full-time role is 40 hours per week, includes alternate weekend work at Malden House, Sidmouth (EX10 9LR). No formal qualifications required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing nutritious meals under hygienic conditions.
• Deliver meals to residents and assist with utensils and serving.
• Help with washing up and loading dishwasher.
• Support residents with breakfast and baking activities as needed.

Care Home Kitchen Assistant

The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be assisting in the provision of nutritious meals under hygienic conditions while being aware of and act in accordance with current food laws and regulations, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are preparing vegetables for a curry night, delivering a resident's breakfast to their room, washing up after the lunch period, or assisting residents with a baking morning you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
