Job summary

Hartfield House Care Home, 4 Hartfield Rd, Leatherhead KT22 7GQ, is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join the team. You will support the kitchen staff to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

No formal qualifications are required as full training is provided; reliability, care and a team approach are valued. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, 8am to 6pm with alternating weekends, and eligibility to work in the United Kingdom is

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications are not necessary as full training will be provided.
• Any similar experience in a commercial kitchen or care setting would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen team to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Assist during the food preparation process and meal service.
• Get to know residents and develop skills through daily interactions.

There will be many opportunities for you to get to know our residents and to develop your skills.

About you:

You will be reliable, considerate and caring in your approach. Formal qualifications are not necessary as full training will be provided, although any similar experience gained in a commercial kitchen or care setting would be highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
