Job summary

Care Concern Group in Lanark is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help deliver high quality meals within a clean, safe kitchen. This hands-on role supports food preparation and contributes to a well-organised operation.

You will work closely with the Chef and team to ensure meals are prepared to a high standard, maintain hygiene, manage stock, deliveries and storage. Full or part-time hours with benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and reliability required.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clear communication skills essential.
• Previous kitchen experience beneficial but not essential.

Located in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, our beautiful care home provides Nursing & Dementia care for 45-residents.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to full time or part time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
