Job summary

Templeton House Care Home in Ayr is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. You will assist with preparation, maintain hygiene and help with deliveries and stock organization, working alongside the Chef and team to ensure smooth operations.

This hands-on role offers a stable routine and a chance to develop your experience in a supportive kitchen environment within Templeton House Care Home. Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 20 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview. As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
