Job summary

Ashgrove Care Home in Hounslow, West London, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high‑quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. You will help with food preparation, keep areas tidy, and assist with deliveries and stock organisation in a busy, collaborative environment.

You will work with the Chef and team to ensure smooth, safe kitchen operations, with a consistent routine and opportunities to develop in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Ashgrove Care Home is a 49 bed, purpose built care home located in Hounslow, West London. Providing nursing and nursing dementia care, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment with bright, accessible living spaces, inviting lounges, dining areas and a private garden. Colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

• £13.45 to £13.95 per hour
• Bank
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
