Job summary

Ashgrove Care Home (London) in Hounslow is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for day shifts on a bank/zero-hours basis. You will help deliver high-quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen and support the team in day-to-day operations.

Role focuses on food prep, kitchen cleanliness, and stock handling. Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential; DBS paid and other benefits are offered.

Ashgrove Care Home is a 49 bed, purpose built care home located in Hounslow, West London. Providing nursing and nursing dementia care, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment with bright, accessible living spaces, inviting lounges, dining areas and a private garden. Colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

• £13.45 to £13.95 per hour
• Bank
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
