Job summary

Gittisham Hill House Care Home in Honiton, Devon, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join a friendly team delivering high quality meals in a clean, well organised kitchen. You will support food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation, working closely with the Chef to keep the kitchen running smoothly and safely on a consistent daily routine.

Gittisham Hill House Care Home is a 38 bed care home set within the peaceful surroundings of Gittisham Hill Park in Honiton, Devon. Providing residential, nursing and dementia care, the home offers a welcoming and family focused environment with bright living spaces, landscaped gardens and comfortable areas for Residents to relax, socialise and enjoy their interests. Colleagues work as part of a caring and experienced team to provide personalised support and high quality care that makes a real difference to Residents.

• £14.80 to £15.30 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
