Job summary

Hartford Care in Hawkinge is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support the provision of nutritious meals for residents. You will work under hygienic conditions, follow food safety regulations and contribute to a warm, caring atmosphere as part of a small kitchen team.

This full-time role is 35 hours per week at Hawkinge House. You will help with meal prep, serving meals, dishwashing and keeping a tidy kitchen, while showing flexibility and a compassionate approach in daily resident care.

The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be assisting in the provision of nutritious meals under hygienic conditions while being aware of and act in accordance with current food laws and regulations, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.
Whether you are preparing vegetables for a curry night, delivering a resident’s breakfast to their room, washing up after the lunch period, or assisting residents with a baking morning you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
