Job summary

Hotel Co 51 is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to keep the kitchen clean, orderly, and efficient. You will support the team by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and storage areas, and assist with basic food preparation and deliveries in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

The role emphasizes a positive, can-do attitude and teamwork, with benefits including health and staff perks across Marriott properties.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, ovens, grills and sinks
• Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
• Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
• Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen
• Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher
• Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
• Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment
• Supporting the team in basic food preparation and cooking
• Providing assistance to team as needed
