Hotel Co 51 is seeking a keen and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to keep the kitchen organised and clean so the team can perform their duties efficiently.

Your role is crucial to prevent bottlenecks; you will handle cleaning, food storage, deliveries, dishwashing, waste disposal and basic food preparation.

Qualifications

• Strong focus on cleanliness and organisation in a busy kitchen.
• No prior kitchen experience required; willingness to learn.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.

Responsabilités

• Clean and sterilise countertops, walls, ovens, grills and sinks.
• Clean the kitchen after service to prep for the next day.
• Maintain food storage areas including freezers and fridges.
• Receive deliveries and organise goods in the kitchen.
• Washing dishes and loading machines; dispose of waste properly.
• Clean and maintain cooking equipment.
• Assist the team with basic food preparation and cooking.
• Provide general support to the team as needed.

As a keen and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant you will keep things organised and clean so that team can perform their duties efficiently.

Your job is crucial and without someone on hand to keep things running smoothly, other kitchen staff could easily fall behind.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, ovens, grills and sinks
• Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
• Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
• Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen
• Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher
• Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
• Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment
• Supporting the team in basic food preparation and cooking
• Providing assistance to team as needed

If you’ve never worked in a kitchen before, don’t worry.

For this role, we’re looking for someone with a great personality and a can-do attitude.
