Job summary

Co-op Childcare is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Cook in preparing and serving healthy meals for children. You will help maintain a clean kitchen and assist families in making nutritious choices in line with our policies.

The role values honesty, compassion and a strong commitment to early years. DBS clearance is provided, and a 4-day week option supports work-life balance within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• DBS check required (costs covered)
• Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification or equivalent
• Open, honest and compassionate approach
• Inspiring and passionate about early years and working with children

What will the role involve?

As a Kitchen Assistant you’ll support the Cook in the preparation and serving of healthy and nutritionally balanced meals. You will ensure a clean and tidy work environment and support the team to enable families to make healthy food choices. Working alongside the society’s policies and procedures, you will ensure compliance with the Food Standards Agency and work to the highest possible standards.
