Job summary

Little Pioneers in the United Kingdom is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Cook in preparing and serving healthy, nutritionally balanced meals for our children. You will maintain a clean, safe kitchen and help families make healthy food choices in line with our policies and the Food Standards Agency standards.

The role offers Enhanced DBS, Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification, a compassionate approach, and a 4-day week option.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check (we’ll cover the costs).
• Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification or equivalent.
• Open, honest and compassionate approach.
• Inspiring and passionate about early years and working with children.

What will the role involve?

As a Kitchen Assistant you’ll support the Cook in the preparation and serving of healthy and nutritionally balanced meals. You will ensure a clean and tidy work environment and support the team to enable families to make healthy food choices. Working alongside the society’s policies and procedures, you will ensure compliance with the Food Standards Agency and work to the highest possible standards.
