Job summary

Little Pioneers is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team and help deliver nutritious, balanced meals for families. You will support the Cook, keep the kitchen clean, and assist children and families in making healthy food choices.

We value an Enhanced DBS, Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification, and a warm, open, and compassionate approach to working with children in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with preparation and serving of healthy, balanced meals.

What will the role involve?

As a Kitchen Assistant you’ll support the Cook in the preparation and serving of healthy and nutritionally balanced meals. You will ensure a clean and tidy work environment and support the team to enable families to make healthy food choices. Working alongside the society’s policies and procedures, you will ensure compliance with the Food Standards Agency and work to the highest possible standard.
