Job summary

Maki & Ramen – a growing Japanese-inspired dining brand known for homemade ramen and freshly prepared sushi – is looking for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to lead the launch and shape the future of this exciting new site. This full‑time role is 45–50 hours per week, pays £12.71–£13.00 per hour (typical earnings up to £14–£15 with tips), and includes delicious team meals

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Good physical stamina and time management
• Quick learner with attention to detail
• Previous kitchen experience (a plus, not required)
• Food safety certification (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Support chefs with food prep (chopping, washing, etc.)
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organized
• Assist with stock rotation and ingredient storage
• Wash dishes and sanitize equipment
• Dispose of waste properly and follow hygiene standards
• Restock supplies as needed during service
