Job summary

Hamberley Care Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Alston House. You will support chefs in planning and preparing meals, ensure nutritional and dietary requirements are met, and help maintain hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chefs in planning and provision of high-quality meals meeting nutritional/dietary requirements
• Plan, prepare and serve balanced meals meeting dietary requirements
• Ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and that safe methods of work are used
• Manage all stocks and stores with correct labeling and stock rotation
• Maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements (e.g., fridge temperature checks)

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
• Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
• To ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used
• Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
• To maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements such as fridge temperature checks
