Job summary

Aramark UK are recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the team at Alsager ST7 2HR. The role is permanent, part-time, 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time (38 weeks). Full training is provided and there is free parking on site.

You will join a friendly team with clear progression routes and opportunities to develop within the business, including apprenticeship schemes. As part of the catering operation you will deliver friendly customer service to students, staff and visitors,

Qualifications

• Friendly, customer-focused approach with good communication.
• Able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and willing to support different catering areas.
• Willing to learn barista skills and prepare beverages to Starbucks standards.
• Basic food hygiene/allergen/Health & Safety awareness desirable; full training provided.
• Willing to complete required online training and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service to students, staff and visitors.
• Prepare and serve Starbucks hot and cold beverages to required brand standards.
• Serve food, snacks and other products across the catering operation.
• Operate tills and process cash/card transactions accurately.
• Maintain clean, attractive and fully stocked counters, displays and service areas.
• Replenish and rotate stock and assist with deliveries.
• Follow food safety, allergen, Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation, including general cleaning duties.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
• Work as part of the wider catering team and support other college catering areas and general duties as required.
