Aramark UK is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the team at SEEVIC USP COLLEGE, Benfleet, Essex. This permanent role is 26 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 working weeks—term time only.

Qualifications

• Previous catering, hospitality or customer service experience desirable but training provided.
• Friendly, customer-focused approach with good communications skills.
• Ability to work as part of a busy team.
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and willing to support different catering areas.
• Willingness to learn barista skills and prepare beverages to brand standards.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service to students, staff and visitors.
• Prepare and serve Starbucks hot and cold beverages to required brand standards.
• Serve food, snacks and other products across the catering operation.
• Operate tills and process cash/card transactions accurately.
• Maintain clean, attractive and fully stocked counters, displays and service areas.
• Replenish and rotate stock and assist with deliveries.
• Follow food safety, allergen, health & safety and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
• Work as part of the wider catering team and support other college catering areas and general duties as required.
