Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join a friendly primary school in the LE3 area of Leicester. You will help prepare and serve meals, support daily kitchen tasks, ensure cleanliness and hygiene, and contribute to a positive lunchtime environment for children.

The role is flexible/part-time with on-site hours in a welcoming school community. Previous kitchen, catering or school experience is desirable but not essential; Level 2 Food Safety/Hygiene is preferred or a willingness

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join a lovely primary school in the LE3 area of Leicester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with kitchen, catering or school experience who is looking for flexible work in a friendly school environment. Whether you're an experienced Kitchen Assistant or looking to build your experience within education, we'd love to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

• Helping prepare and serve meals to pupils and staff
• Supporting the kitchen team with daily food preparation
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and organised
• Washing up and carrying out general kitchen duties
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Helping create a positive lunchtime experience for the children

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous kitchen, catering or school experience – desirable but not essential
• Has a Level 2 Food Safety/Hygiene qualification, or is willing to obtain one
• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Is friendly and confident working around children
• Can be flexible and adapt to the needs of the school
• Is keen to get involved and become part of the school community
