Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is seeking a Machine Operative in Thirsk to join the packing department. You will package extruded kibble into bags, operate automated machines, and work in a four-cell shift rotation with robots assisting in bagging, sealing, wrapping and stacking.

The role is site-based with a permanent contract and a 48-hour week. Overtime and a comprehensive benefits package are on offer.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numerical skills; clear English communication.
• IT literate; record data onto factory computers.
• Able to lift up to 25kg and stand for long periods.
• Live within 30 miles of YO7 3HE and have transport.
• Willing to undertake training when required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hourly quality checks and record results.
• Set up and operate machines throughout the shift.
• Follow production guidelines to ensure correct packing.
• Monitor machinery and equipment for performance.
• Maintain hygiene per the IPN Clean As You Go policy.
• Report safety observations and plant damage through proper channels.
