Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition is recruiting a Machine Operator for the Packing department at our Thirsk site. You will operate automated bagging, sealing, wrapping and stacking lines, in a four-cell shift rotation, ensuring quality and feeding the warehouse.

You’ll work a 42-hour week on a four-week cycle with day and night shifts; you must lift up to 25 kg, have good English, be IT literate, and live within 30 miles of YO7 3HE.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numerical skills; able to understand, communicate and report in English.
• IT literate and able to record data onto factory computers.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg and work on your feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packaging machines throughout your shift.
• Carry out hourly quality checks and record results on paper-based documents.
• Ensure products are packed correctly and machines run efficiently.
• Monitor machinery and equipment performance and report issues.
• Follow Clean As You Go hygiene policy and maintain safety standards.
• Support safety reporting and contribute to a positive safety culture.
