Job summary

Woolmer Hill School in the United Kingdom is seeking a reliable part-time Cleaning Operative to carry out cleaning duties across the school premises and to wash up staff cutlery at the end of each day.

You will work 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, and you will be responsible for securing the site and being a named keyholder when needed, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out specific cleaning duties across the school premises
• Wash up and put away staff cutlery and crockery at the end of the school day
• Undertake additional cleaning duties as required
• Ensure the school building is secure when leaving each evening
• Check that all staff and students have left the premises before securing the site
• Act as a named keyholder and, where necessary, attend alarm calls if no other keyholder is available
• Follow school procedures relating to health and safety, security, safeguarding and confidentiality
• Is reliable, responsible and trustworthy
• Has good organisational and prioritising skills
• Has good interpersonal and communication skills
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Has an understanding of health and safety procedures and precautions
• Can use relevant equipment safely and effectively
• Has a positive, professional and "can do" attitude
• Takes responsibility and is committed to providing a high-quality service
• Working Hours - 12.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 6.30pm until 9pm.
