Evening School Cleaner & Keyholder

Job summary

MyNewTerm is seeking a reliable school cleaner to carry out cleaning duties across the premises and to wash up staff cutlery at the end of the day. You will undertake additional cleaning tasks as required and ensure the building is secure when leaving each evening.

You will act as a named keyholder, attend alarm calls if needed, and follow health and safety, security, safeguarding and confidentiality procedures. Working hours are 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:30pm–9:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties across the school premises
• Wash up and put away staff cutlery and crockery at the end of the school day
• Undertake additional cleaning duties as required
• Ensure the school building is secure when leaving each evening
• Check that all staff and students have left the premises before securing the site
• Act as a named keyholder and attend alarm calls if no other keyholder is available
• Follow school procedures relating to health and safety, security, safeguarding and confidentiality
