About the Role

We are actively seeking a Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive two form entry school in Birkenhead, Wirral. This long-term opportunity is tailored for individuals dedicated to supporting and guiding students in Key Stage 2. This role is set to commence after the Easter holidays and continue until July 2025.

This role offers a consistent Monday to Friday working schedule, providing stability and continuity for both you and the students (8:30am – 3:30pm).

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

1. Provide invaluable support to the entire classroom, with a specific focus on maths and English.
2. Work on a 1:1 basis with children with SEN.
3. Collaborate closely with the teaching team to cultivate a positive environment.

Person Specification

1. GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English.
2. Have experience of supporting pupils in a school or similar setting.
3. Good working knowledge of the primary curriculum, especially within Key Stage 2.
4. Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one.
