Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School setting in an OFSTED graded ‘OUTSTANDING’ school in the Openshaw area.

The successful applicant will have a Teaching Assistant qualification or higher and at least 12 weeks of experience working with children in a school setting. Responsibilities include covering classes in the absence of a teacher, conducting small group and large group interventions in KS1 & KS2 settings. Safeguarding training is preferred but not required, as some training is provided.

Prospero Teaching supplies staff to schools, colleges, and nurseries across the Oldham area, including SEN schools. We are looking to fill a Teaching Assistant role in Oldham. The most suitable candidates will be confident in leading children in the absence of their teacher, conducting reading and writing sessions, and managing behavior effectively.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – Openshaw
• Position – Teaching Assistant
• Type of work – Long Term
• Duration – Ongoing, until the end of the academic year or beyond

• Minimum rate of pay – £95 per day
• Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable but not essential, as training is provided)
