You will be joining a small primary school in South Liverpool that is committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment for all its children. They are looking for a teaching assistant to work within their Key Stage 1 classes supporting general learning. The role is temporary with a chance of going permanent for the right candidate.
The school sets high expectations of staff and pupils, and is looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of literacy, numeracy, and other core subjects across Key Stage 1. You will work alongside the Year 1 class teachers to offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment for all pupils. You will be expected to hold small groups to assist in learning and build strong, constructive relationships with your pupils.
What you'll need to succeed
- Full right to work in the UK
- Full DBS on the update service
- An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not required.
- Skills in communication, literacy & numeracy
- Attributes such as patience, empathy, creativity, and flexibility
- Experience of working with children, preferably in an early years setting
