KS2 Teaching Assistant- Sept 2025

KS2 Teaching Assistant

Milk Education is working with a primary school in Hindley Green (WN2) seeking a full-time KS2 Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a Year 6 child with ASD who displays challenging behaviour.

This role starts on Tue 02/09/25 and is a temporary, long-term position until Fri 19/12/25.

The ideal candidate will have good behaviour management skills, patience, and a nurturing approach to meet the child's learning needs. Working hours are 08:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

The role involves keeping the child on task, ensuring work quality, preparing resources, and meeting the child’s needs by providing a patient and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children by responding to their individual needs
  • Assist in lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustments
  • Deliver catch-up sessions

Requirements:

  • Recent relevant experience working with children and young people within the past two years
  • Passion for education
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Reliability and punctuality
