You will join our Global Embedded Audio department for the EMEA region in the position of:

Key Account Manager – Embedded Audio

About the Role:

As a Key Account Manager for the HARMAN Embedded Audio Sales Team, you will interface with key customers in the region to achieve the business targets and represent the HARMAN Embedded Audio business unit. Your primary focus will be on winning new customer partnerships through effective sales outreach. You will help to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention by supporting the account day-to-day activities.

While supporting the Sales Director on large key accounts, you will have the opportunity to own the business relationship on selected customer accounts. Responsibilities will also include supporting various business development activities to grow the sales funnel.

We are looking for candidates based in either: The Netherlands, France, the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Germany or Poland.

Your Team:

You will report to the Director of Sales, EMEA - HARMAN Embedded Audio.

What You Will Do:

  • Find and build strong business partnerships to help the company grow.
  • Learn what customers need and use the Harman Embedded Audio HEA) technologies to offer solutions that fit them.
  • Study key markets to spot new opportunities, key players, and trends.
  • Work closely with teams around the world, especially in China, to make sure projects run smoothly.
  • Create and present key customer business plans, aligning products and revenue forecasts.
  • Help dealers, distributors, and clients improve their sales and marketing to increase revenue.
  • Be the main contact between customers and the HEA functional teams to solve problems and maintain clear communication.
  • Collaborate with HEA functional teams to prepare proposals, product plans, and marketing initiatives.
  • Organize and lead business meetings and tech events for customers.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or similar field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales, business development, or technical sales, with a focus on Consumer Electronics.
  • Proficient in solution selling techniques and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to generate new business.
  • Comfortable working with international teams and different cultures.
  • Expertise selling embedded audio systems, software, hardware and related services.
  • Strong existing relationships within the embedded audio or consumer electronics industry.
  • Skilled in using sales automation tools and account planning software.
  • Experienced in strategic selling, contract negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Knowledge of acoustic technologies (speakers and microphones) and embedded audio software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently in fast-paced environments.
  • Can understand technical documents and customer needs.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Master’s Degree in relevant field.
  • Experience in licensing and creative business models.
  • Product Management or Product Planning experience.
  • Sales and product strategy knowledge.
  • Global Work Experience.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or other major CRM.

What Makes You Eligible:

  • Be open to traveling up to 50% of the time, both within the country and internationally.
  • This is a remote job, but you may need to visit the Northridge, CA office and Shenzhen, China occasionally.
