A growing UK-based global manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced solution-based sales professional to operate in their North Region across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and North of England. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious salesperson to manage key accounts and acquire new business by collaborating with internal stakeholders such as NPD, Product Management, and Engineering. The role involves working on key projects for leading OEMs, end users, and developing distribution networks.

Role Description

  • Results-driven sales professional with a proven ability to grow key accounts and hunt for new business.
  • The primary purpose of this role is to manage an established and developing portfolio of regional strategic and key accounts and target new business opportunities to drive growth.
  • Define and implement growth plans that meet customer expectations and achieve above-market growth rates year on year.
  • Work closely with national account managers and vertical market specialists to target and manage the biggest potential customers in the region.
  • Engage with key wholesalers, OEMs in Oil & Gas, and Energy markets.
  • Adopt a methodical approach to identify prospects, build relationships with stakeholders within customers' design, procurement, and production functions, track projects, and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Secure product specifications and serve as a solutions provider for customers.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven success in sales, business development, and key account management.
  • Experience in specification sales, particularly with electrical components and fasteners.
  • Background in solution sales, working with OEM end users.
  • Strong understanding of margins and profit metrics.
  • Ability to use key account metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Experience in managing a sales pipeline effectively.
