The Key Account Manager is a senior position responsible for managing the relationships of multiple key suppliers to Baker Hughes. This individual will identify, develop and direct the relationship commercially and contractually, supporting the development and implementation of the Category and Sourcing strategies. They will plan and direct activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, service and compliance adherence. Expertise within a field comprising of different approaches, methodologies, techniques and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Enable BH to be the customer of Choice.
  • Leading and managing strategic suppliers' engagement and acting as the primary interface for key suppliers.
  • Manage suppliers’ contracts, ensuring value assurance, inflation monitoring, and contract compliance.
  • Renegotiate price lists and contract renewals following category directions.
  • Support sourcing in establishing contracts with assigned suppliers.
  • Monitor suppliers’ performance through KPIs monitoring and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage supplier capacity as per business needs.
  • Planning and executing Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews (QBRs/ABRs) for key suppliers.
  • Drive Supplier Innovation & Sustainability discussions.
  • Leading supplier risk identification and mitigation planning.
  • Coordinating phase‑out for suppliers exiting the KAM program.
  • Communicate with Executive leadership for the suppliers and internal Baker Hughes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Supply Chain certification desired.
  • Demonstrate significant experience in Supplier Management, Category, and Sourcing.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Expertise in supplier relationship management.
  • Cross‑functional leadership and collaboration.
  • Experience in supply chain or procurement.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance tracking.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of category and sourcing strategies.
