Job summary

Data Intellect in Belfast is seeking a senior kdb+ developer to lead delivery on client projects, architect robust time-series systems, and mentor teams.

You will collaborate with quants, traders and analysts to translate business needs into high-performance code, design scalable architectures, and drive innovation in kdb+, q, and related technologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on kdb+ development, with deep expertise in q and time-series data.
• Proven experience designing and implementing kdb+ architectures and scaling kdb+ systems in production.
• Strong background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and decision-making in fast-paced projects.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in capital markets or investment banking, understanding of the domain and its demands.
