Data Intellect is looking for a Senior kdb+ Engineer to take technical ownership on client projects and drive high-performance data platforms for capital markets. You will lead delivery, design scalable architectures, mentor teammates and collaborate with quants, traders and analysts to translate requirements into efficient code.

As a Senior kdb+ Developer at [DI] you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-performance, scalable solutions for some of the world’s most data-intensive financial institutions. You’ll:

• Lead technical deliveryon client projects, setting the standard for quality and performance.
• Design and implement robust kdb+ architecturesthat handle billions of rows of time-series data.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on kdb+ development, with deep expertise in q and time-series data.
• Proven experience designing and implementing kdb+ architectures and scalingkdb+ systems in production.
• Strong background inUnix/Linux environmentsand scripting.
• Demonstratedtechnical leadershipand decision-making in fast-paced projects.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience incapital markets or investment banking tounderstand the domain and its demands.
• A passion for clean, performant code and continuous improvement.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience withPython,cloud platforms(AWS, GCP, Azure), or other time-series databases.
• Exposure totick data,real-time analytics, orelectronic trading systems.
• Exposure to AI tooling (Claude, Co-pilot etc)
• People management or team leadership experience.
