Job summary

Welder / Fabricator position in Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan for a well-established doors manufacturer. We are seeking an experienced welder or a graduate with practical welding/fabrication exposure to join a busy production team.

Initial training will be hands-on in the factory, with a clear path to Production Management and senior roles for the right candidate. Salary ranges £16.00–£20.00 per hour, with 37.8 hours per week and standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding and/or fabrication is essential.
• MIG and TIG welding experience desirable.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment.
• Must live within approximately 10 miles of Cardiff-area facility.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on within the production and fabrication team.
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding as required.
• Fabricate and assemble components for manufactured door products.
• Support the wider production operation and work as part of a team.

Welder / Fabricator Position: Welder / Fabricator Location: Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan (CF64) Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience Working Arrangement: Office / Factory based Employment Type: Permanent

Welder / Fabricator is required in Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan for our client. Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with around 70 years of experience, specialising in the manufacture of doors.

They are looking for either an experienced Welder / Fabricator or a graduate/junior candidate with practical welding and fabrication experience to join their production team.

This is a hands‑on opportunity where the successful candidate will initially work on the tools within the factory, gaining a strong understanding of the company's products and manufacturing processes. There is genuine long‑term progression available for the right individual, with the potential to develop into a Production Management role and eventually progress into more senior management positions.

Welder / Fabricator Salary & Benefits

Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience

• Experienced candidates: approximately £19.00 - £20.00 per hour
• Less experienced candidates: approximately £16.00 - £18.00 per hour

• Working hours: 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 15:30 Friday
