Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Welder / Fabricator for a Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan facility. This hands-on role involves working in the production team, carrying out MIG and TIG welding and fabricating door components.

The successful candidate may be an experienced welder or a graduate/junior with practical welding and fabrication experience. Long-term progression to Production Management is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in MIG and TIG welding is essential.
• Practical welding and fabrication experience required.
• Graduate/junior candidates with hands-on welding experience will be considered.
• Must live within approximately 10 miles of Cardiff-area facility.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on within the production and fabrication team.
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding as required.

• Support the wider production operation and work as part of a team.
• Learn the company's products, manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Develop a broad understanding of the production operation.

Welder / Fabricator is required in Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan for our client.

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with around 70 years of experience, specialising in the manufacture of doors. They are looking for either an experienced Welder / Fabricator or a graduate/junior candidate with practical welding and fabrication experience to join their production team.

This is a hands-on opportunity where the successful candidate will initially work on the tools within the factory, gaining a strong understanding of the company's products and manufacturing processes. There is genuine long-term progression available for the right individual, with the potential to develop into a Production Management role and eventually progress into more senior management positions.

Welder / Fabricator Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Experienced candidates: approximately £19.00 - £20.00 per hour
• Less experienced candidates: approximately £16.00 - £18.00 per hour
• 20 days' holiday
• Working hours: 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 15:30 Friday
• 37.8 hours per week
• 15-minute and 30-minute breaks
