Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Welder / Fabricator to join the Cardiff region production team. This hands-on role involves MIG and TIG welding, fabricating and assembling components for doors within a factory setting.

Open to experienced welders or graduates with practical welding experience, with clear long-term progression into production management and senior roles. Occasional overtime may be available and a 37.8-hour week is typical.

Welder / Fabricator
Position: Welder / Fabricator
Location: Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan (CF64)
Salary: 16.00 - 20.00 per hour, depending on experience
Working Arrangement: Office / Factory based

Welder / Fabricator is required in Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan for our client.

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with around 70 years of experience, specialising in the manufacture of doors. They are looking for either an experienced Welder / Fabricator or a graduate/junior candidate with practical welding and fabrication experience to join their production team.

This is a hands‑on opportunity where the successful candidate will initially work on the tools within the factory, gaining a strong understanding of the company's products and manufacturing processes. There is genuine long‑term progression available for the right individual, with the potential to develop into a Production Management role and eventually progress into more senior management positions.

Welder / Fabricator Job Requirements

• Previous welding and/or fabrication experience is essential
• MIG and TIG welding experience is desirable

• Reliable, hardworking and keen to develop a long‑term career

• Must live within approximately 10 miles of the company's Cardiff‑area facility

Welder / Fabricator Salary & Benefits

• Salary: 16.00 - 20.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Experienced candidates: approximately 19.00 - 20.00 per hour
• Less experienced candidates: approximately 16.00 - 18.00 per hour

• Working hours: 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 15:30 Friday
• 37.8 hours per week
• 15-minute and 30-minute breaks
