Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a multi-disciplinary consultancy whose dynamic urban design team is looking for a Junior Urban Designer to join their team!

We are seeking recent graduates with a degree in Architecture or Urban Design to assist on a range of projects including masterplanning and speculative housing services.

In addition to the ability to work independently, candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with directors as well as members of the wider Urbanism team in Winchester.

Candidate Requirements:

• Working knowledge of CAD systems (ideally ArchiCAD; training will be provided)
• Awareness of masterplanning procedures.
• Familiarity with traditional and classical architecture is advantageous.
• Ability to assist with the preparation of sketches, working drawings, and presentation models.
• Ability to prepare cad drawings for both internal and external use.
• Willingness to refine and revise designs to meet the brief, respond to site context, and accommodate evolving client requirements.
• Willingness to attend site visits to assist with surveys and related meetings.
• Ability to help prepare or commission measured surveys and site reports.

Qualifications needed:

• Degree or master’s in urban design or architecture.
• 0-3 years of professional experience (ideal).
