Job Description:

Role: Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer (On-site in Oxfordshire)

Joining our Engineering Team at Telent, you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts committed to impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and safety 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you'll work with Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Traffic Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire.
• Participate in on-the-job training aimed at achieving an NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Candidate Profile:

Ideally, you have an interest in electrical troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance, with some exposure to outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection boxes, telecommunications, or radio equipment, or have completed relevant college courses or diplomas.

Key Requirements:

• Motivated and eager to learn through practical experience and online learning.
• Previous experience or education in electrical testing, maintenance, or installation.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work through fault-finding instructions.
• Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire.
• Willingness to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance.
