Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 1-2 years' experience within a mechanical, thermal, manufacturing or process engineering environment.
• A good understanding of mechanical design principles, with an interest in thermal engineering, heat transfer or engineered equipment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse customer specifications and technical information to support the development of mechanical and thermal designs, helping produce cost-effective engineering solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Prepare engineering and project documentation, ensuring accurate technical information is available to support the transfer of designs into the manufacturing environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across different engineering disciplines and departments, providing technical support and developing an understanding of the wider project lifecycle.
• Participate in technical clarification meetings with internal teams and external customers, helping interpret requirements and resolve technical queries.
• Carry out engineering simulations on existing designs to support technical activities, while using established processes and continuous improvement tools to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
